good chinese language CDs for speaking?
I want to learn mandarin chinese in a way that isn't purely audio (i.e.: listening to someone on CD/MP3) as I don't learn well that way. I need to be able to speak what i've learned into a microphone and be told how accurate my pronunciation is as I don't have any chinese friends and can't afford to go to China to have chinese people tell me what I'm doing wrong! Please don't recommend Rosetta Stone or Tell Me More because these are WAY out of my price range. I'd also prefer something that comes with reading exercises or pictures as I'm more of a visual learner - something that comes with a book or something that I could read on the bus and practice away from the computer would be brilliant. Am I asking too much here? :p:p
