Why is France part of the "Allies Big Four" in WW2 and not China?
Sorry, but i mean the French surendered quite fast, whereas China had been fighting since 1937 and haven't surrendered for the entire ww2.Throughout the WW2 period, Chinese troops killed way more Axis troops than French troops did (including Free french forces) and effectively drained much of the Japanese manpower and resources there (they had at least 3 million troops just in China). China won WW2 whereas France surrendered. So why is France in the Allied "big four" and not China? It doesn't make sense!
First of all, I've never heard of the "Big Four". I've heard of the "Big Three": Great Britan, USSR, USA. France is big only in terms of ego. 1. Racism. 2. You could argue that because China was not an initial participants in the war, when the terms "Allied" and "Axis" powers were coined, they were not included in the initial definition. "Axis" Powers are defined by which nations initially signed the Tripartite Pact in 1940: Germany, Japan and Italy. The initial anti-german were Poland, France and the Great Britain. China joined afterwards because Japan invaded - even stopped the Civil war between Nationlists and Communists who really detested each other. 3. FDR did refer to China as one of the "Four Policemen", but that was AFTER WW2, when he was trying to start the United Nations.
