Jimi Hendrix (Deluxe Edition) $9.85 If any artist deserved a hagiography it was Jimi Hendrix, and Joe Boyd’s 1973 “authorized” tribute adequately sanctifies the legend. Perversely for a documentary, it achieves this simply through well-chosen concert footage rather than through the insights of the various talking heads. Pete Townshend, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Lou Reed, and Germaine Greer are all wheeled out to wax lyrical ab… |

Headshot for Acting! Help!?
Hey! Okay, so I want to find an agent, so I have decided that I would get my resume and attach a recent photo of myself and hand it in to agencies. Well, I don't have any professional photos, and i don't want to spend hundreds until i get with an agency, so I just have a picture off of my digital camera. Its a perfect picture because #1 its a head-shot lol, not body, #2 Its face-on, so my face isn't like angled tremendously, and lastly I am behind a solid wall. The only thing is that I am wearing a barret. My hair is down in the photo, but I am wearing a french barrett. Is this bad? Like is it okay if im wearing a hat? And no, the hat is not covering my face at all. You can completely see my face So can you help me decide if its a good photo to send in? Thank you for the advice!
Any picture you have is fine as long as it shows your whole face, no obstructions (hair or hat in face or major shadows, etc.) It does not have to be a professional photo but also there are several budget photographers out there who will do an inexpensive session that may be good enough for your agency submissions. Check the ads in Backstage and Variety for those and a re-printer. Honestly, if you don't have 'real' headshots, are you ready for an agent? You have a resume but how did you get booked without headshots? I understand local theatre, but you should also have some student and indie films on there before seeking an agent. They'll want to see things on your resume in different categories before taking you on as a client. Check out actorsaccess.com good luck, Marianne
