How much of modern warfare tactics stem from German tactics of WWII? Also German weapons of WWII today?

Basically the recent war in Iraq used infantry advancing behind/with Armour. This is a tactic devised by the Germans in their Blitzkrieg of 1940, but what other German tactical innovations are still used to this day? Also the British GPMG (FN MAG, M240), the American M60 ect all stem from the MG42. With some modern SMG's hailing from the MP40. What other German weapons designs/ideas are still present in modern designs? I am asking a genuine question formed from research on both of the above topics. I am British, not German, so am not trying to troll as one idiot who answered this question when i first posted it has claimed of me!

Well, the German's stole all of their tactical thinking from the Russians and the British (Blitzkrieg wasn't even a name coined by the German's but rather Time magazine) so the answer would technically be NO, German WW2 tactics are not still in use. The FN MAG may have copied the MG42 (actually the MG34) conceptually, but not in design. The M60 copied the MG42 feed system. The German's were the first to employ recoilless rifles and cruise missiles and those types of weapons are still in use today.
