Help with GCSE choices?
I make choices in a few days.. I have to do:
English
Maths
Biology Chemistry Physics
French
and I’m thinking of choosing:
Spanish
Classics
Geography
Electronics
The trouble is I am not much of a linguist, so do you think Spanish French and classics is too much? I need to comply with the governments E.Bacc rules (which say you have to do geography or history- and Im terrible at history)
I’m thinking of doing Latin over MUSIC because although I am a very very musical person and it would be easy, Latin looks better at uni and is considered a hard subject- I find it relatively easy.
I’m not sure what to do? Are my choices ok? I don’t know what I want to continue at A level.. so that’s out of the question :/
many thanks,
Will
I think choosing more than one language is a mistake, especially if you’re not much of a linguist.
I think the “Governments E.Bacc rules” is ridiculous. Shouldn’t be compulsive to have to do History or Geography. But if you’re better at Geography and enjoy it more then go for it.
I can’t believe your school forces you to take French too.
As for A Levels, at least once you leave you can do more fun, totally different from your GCSE’s and interesting subjects like Psychology, Sociology, Law, Media Studies and Philosophy etc.
