Can you travel to the U.K. on a Spanish passport with less than six months to go till it expires?
I thought that within Europe as long as the passport is valid for the dates of travel then there is no problem, but now somebody has told me that you have to have at least six months left before it expires.
Is this true for European travel?
To travel to the United Kingdom you will either need your Spanish passport which is valid on arrival or you may travel on your valid Documento Nacional de Identidad.

This six-month passport validation requirement only applies to some third world countries in Asia and Africa which still have not recognized that nowadays identities of travellers may be checked by electronic means within a second.
To travel within lots of countries in central Europe like Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, and Switzerland citizen of Spain could even use a passport which has not been expired for longer than five years.
