How would you interpret what a historical context while writing an essay?
I have to write an essay on a famous spanish writer and he wants the biography of that person..the “historical context” which is what I do not understand, and the analysis of a certain work.
The historical context of a novel can be found through comparisons between the author’s writings and the historical period in which he or she lived. For example, a book written one hundred years ago might seem racist, sexist, and xenophobic today, but could have been perfectly acceptable to people of that time period.
